Unijos R Users is a community of R programming enthusiasts, undergraduate and postgraduate students, data scientists, researchers, and professionals based at the University of Jos. We bring together:

Our Mission
We’re on a mission to democratize data science in Jos. By fostering knowledge sharing, skill development, and networking opportunities — all at no cost — we’re building a community where everyone can harness the power of R for data analysis, visualization, and statistical computing.

Supported by the R Consortium
In August 2024, our efforts were recognized by the global R community: the R Consortium awarded us the RUGS (R User Group Support) grant — financial support, access to a professional Meetup account, and a connection to the global R community. This support keeps our activities free and open to everyone.
